Nilo is a lifelong California resident and brings over 27 years of Personal Training experience to OC Fitness Solutions. Throughout the years, Nilo has worked at various fitness facilities in Southern California, such as The Sporting Club, 24 Hour Fitness, and Sports Club LA/Irvine. After leaving the traditional fitness club arena a few years ago, he has worked independently with several personal training facilities in Orange County and is thrilled to be able to train his clients at OC Fitness Solutions.
Nilo has trained several Olympic athletes, such as Steve Hegg, the 1984 Gold and Silver Medalist in Match Sprint Cycling and AVP pro Rudy Dvorak. While Nilo enjoys training athletes, his clientele includes clients of all ages and lifestyles.
Nilo specializes in “Structural Integrity”, the proper exercise technique and program selection and implementation for each client individually. He also has expertise in Neuromuscular Facilitation, Olympic Lifting (for Sport Specific Training), strength training and flexibility enhancement training.
His own personal experience with back surgery and knee surgery have given him specific insight and expertise helping clients through the rehabilitation process and they are then able to return to their normal activities more quickly, with less inclination to become injured again.
Nilo is NSCA-CPT*D (National Strength & Conditioning Association, Recertified with Distinction), and USAW Sports Performance Coach certified. He attended Saddleback Community College studying Pre-Kinesiology and made the Dean’s List. He has been certified with NASM prior to his current NSCA-CPT*D certification. He attends various seminars and personal training events every year and is constantly adding to his knowledge of fitness and how to help his clients achieve the best health and fitness levels possible. He enjoys outdoor activities and is an avid beach and indoor volleyball player.
